This natural baking ingredients company helps amateur bakers created professional-tasting and looking cakes and confections. The products were being sold online and at events but the founders were looking to grow so Ruth targeted potential retail and foodservice customers as well as consumers. A proactive trade press office led to high profile features in leading target titles such as The Grocer, British Baker, Food Manufacturer and Garden Centre Magazine, while a consumer PR campaign generated coverage in the regional, national and consumer media. This was supplemented by support and media relations at national baking events across the UK and a proactive influencer and social media campaign. Highlights included welcoming Mary Berry to the brand and receiving a marketing accolade from the Guardian. Sugar and Crumbs has gone from strength to strength and now sells over 4,000 baking and cake decorating products, having built up a huge and loyal community all over the world.
